SON PARI CAST REUNITES AFTER 25 YEARS, SPARKING CHILDHOOD NOSTALGIA, 'THIS ONE IS A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE'

The beloved kids' fantasy adventure show Son Pari featured a desi Fairy godmother-like character, Son Pari, and her quirky companion Altu, who always came to the aid of a young girl named Frooty whenever she was in distress. Recently, the cast of the show reunited, bringing a wave of nostalgia to fans who fondly remember the series.

Tanvi Hegde, who portrayed Frooty, is now 32 years old. Before her role in Son Pari, Tanvi appeared in other popular TV shows like Hip Hip Hurray and Shaka Laka Boom Boom. She also acted in films such as Viruddh… Family Comes First starring Amitabh Bachchan and Sharmila Tagore, and Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!, featuring Shahid Kapoor.

On Monday, Tanvi took to Instagram to share a nostalgic photo, recreating the same pose with her Son Pari co-stars that they had struck in the show's poster nearly 25 years ago. On her left stood Mrinal Kulkarni, now 53, who played the iconic role of Son Pari. Since her stint on the show, Mrinal has appeared in numerous Hindi and Marathi films and TV shows, including Vivek Agnihotri's 2022 blockbuster The Kashmir Files. Earlier this year, she portrayed Sidharth Malhotra's mother in Rohit Shetty's Prime Video series Indian Police Force.

In her heartfelt post, Tanvi captioned the photo, "A lot of you'll asked if we meet, if we are still in touch and if you could get all of us together in one frame again, we made it happen for you! My literal parents on set and the bestest co-stars, this one is a trip down memory lane."

To Tanvi's right in the photo was Ashok Lokhande, who played Altu in Son Pari. A National School of Drama alumnus, Ashok has an extensive acting resume, including roles in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 1996 film Khamoshi: The Musical, Neena Gupta's 1999 TV show Saans, Aamir Khan's 1999 cop drama Sarfarosh, and Anurag Kashyap's crime thrillers Black Friday and Raman Raghav 2.0. Interestingly, Neena Gupta, the director of Saans, was also a co-producer of Son Pari.
