'Harry Potter' fans were in for a nostalgic treat after Rupert Grint and Afshan Azad, who played Ron Weasley and Padma Patil, respectively, met after 20 years. The duo played each other's dance partner in the fourth instalment of the film, 'Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire'.

Padma Patil (Afshan Azad) and Parvati Patil (Shefali Chowdhury) were the only two Indian characters in the Harry Potter films. Their most prominent appearance was in'Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire'. Padma (Azad) played Ron's dance partner during the Yule's Ball scene. A disinterested Ron was miffed about Hermoine (Emma Watson's) dancing with Viktor Krum and didn't ask Padma for the ball. Azad, in her new post, playfully joked about the same in the caption.

Sharing an after-and-before photo with Grint, Azad wrote, "Padma & Ron reunited after 20+ years. Oh how parenthood has changed us all ps He's still not asked me to dance (sic)."

Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and the rest of the 'Harry Potter' cast reunited in 2022 to celebrate 20 years of the film's franchise.

On the personal front, Rupert Grint has been in a relationship with actor Georgia Groome since 2011, and they welcomed their daughter in 2020. Afshan Azad married Nabil Kazi in 2018, and they have a baby girl together. She is currently expecting their second child.
