FROM SQUID GAME TO JEFFREY DAHMER: NETFLIX'S MOST-WATCHED SHOWS OF ALL TIME

Netflix continues to dominate the streaming platform market and captivate fans with thousands of new series and movies. The streaming giant has over 300 million paid subscribers from more than 190 countries.

From epic fantasy series to laugh-out-loud comedies or dark drama, viewers have multiple options to stream every day. However, there are a handful of titles that have captured millions of hearts globally.

Netflix has recently released official data of its top 10 most-watched shows that have taken the world by storm, bringing people together across cultures and continents.

Squid Game has notably topped the charts, garnering over 265 million views in its first 91 days. The Korean series first hit the streaming giant in 2021, and instantly bagged the trending spots in several countries.

Season 2 also became popular, with over 190 million views in its first 91 days. Squid Game Season 2 is in third place on the list.

The supernatural mystery comedy, Wednesday, which stars Jenna Ortega in the pivotal role, bagged second place. The series earned over 252 million views, with fans eagerly waiting for the release of Season 2. Wednesday season 2 will be released in two parts, with the first arriving on August 6 and the second on September 3.

However, the sci-fi mystery, Stranger Things Season 4, also makes the top 10 list, grabbing the fourth spot with over 140 million views. Millie Bobby Brown's starrer will soon return for the fifth and final season.

However, the fifth spot has been bagged by the recently released series, Adolescence.

The limited series premiered in March 2025 and instantly started creating a buzz among the audience for its gripping storyline. Several critics and Indian celebrities laud the show for its storyline, performance of each cast member and direction as each episode is filmed as a single shot without any cuts. Adolescence earned 134 million views in just 60 days.

Following the list is Evan Peters' starrer Jeffrey Dahmer with 115.6 million views. The dramatised retelling of the crimes of Jeffrey Dahmer intrigued and horrified viewers in equal measure.

Shonda Rhimes’ period drama Bridgerton remains a crowd pleaser, with Season 1 earning 113.3 million views and continues to influence period dramas with a modern twist. However, the show maintained its strong performance, with Season 3 tying for ninth place with 106 million views. The popularity of the series has recently led to the announcement of Season 5, with Season 6, with Season 4 set to be released in 2026.

Meanwhile, the chess-based show The Queen’s Gambit was a breakout hit during the pandemic with 112.8 million views. It remains one of Netflix’s most acclaimed limited series on the list.

The last spot in Netflix’s Top 10 shows has been bagged by the Spanish original Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) Season 4 with 106 million views. The premiere season of the series was originally released in 2017, but the show garnered most attention during 2020 for its clever plotting and strong character development, and has built a loyal global fanbase.
