A 55-YEAR-OLD WOMAN WATCHES JR NTR'S MOVIE 'ADHURS' DURING BRAIN SURGERY AT A HOSPITAL IN ANDHRA PRADESH

Jr NTR is one of the most celebrated and respected figures in Tollywood, and the actor has never failed to meet his fans' expectations with promising performances on screen. While there are several fan stories that keep doing rounds on social media, the latest one has left the internet amused.

A 55-year-old patient named, A Anantalakshmi from A Kothapalli, Tondangi Mandal watched Jr NTR’s movie ‘Adhurs’ during an awake brain surgery.

Doctors at the Government General Hospital (GGH) in Kakinada successfully removed a brain tumour from the woman using a rare procedure known as ‘Awake Craniotomy,’ all while keeping her entertained with her favorite movie, ‘Adhurs,’ starring Jr NTR.

This was the first time such a surgery was performed at the hospital without causing damage to any critical nerves. The patient had previously visited several private hospitals, where she was told the treatment would be both challenging and expensive. She eventually came to GGH on September 11 after suffering from headaches, fainting, and numbness on the right side of her body. Doctors discovered a 3.3 x 2.7 cm tumour on the left side of her brain.

On Tuesday, under the care of senior doctors and anesthetists, the surgery was performed with minimal sedation, keeping the patient awake throughout the process.READ ALSO: Rakul Preet Singh praises Jr NTR as a Born Star; reveals she felt nervous trying to keep up with him during their shoot
