Producer Gokul Benoy talks about Gayathrie's performance

Speaking to the press, Gokul Benoy spoke about his journey into production: "This is my debut as a film producer. My second film Oru Naal Koothu happened two years after my first film Pannaiyarum Padminiyum. During that break, director Ram anna (director Ramachandra) supported me financially through his ad films. When Ramachandran struggled to find a producer for his film, I decided to step in." he said.

Speaking about actress Gayathrie Shankar, the producer said, “If we had chosen a different artist instead of Gayathrie, we would have had to stop after the first schedule. Shooting in jungle terrain was a challenge without caravans or restrooms. But Gayathrie was very cooperative and helped us completed the shoot successfully.” Director Ramachandran also said "A decade ago, Vasanth and I conceived Pechi as a short film. Gokul's support has now transformed it into a feature film."
