3 REASONS WHY SUMMERSLAM 2024 IS GOING TO BE A BLOCKBUSTER PREMIUM LIVE EVENT
2024 has been a fantastic year for WWE in terms of ratings and TRP’s. The fans have really taken a liking towards all the events that have taken place this year, right from the start of the year at Royal Rumble, till Money in the Bank ,earlier this month. Now the biggest event of the summer in WWE(SummerSlam) is right upon us and fans are expecting it to be the best PLE of the summer.
Here are 3 reasons why SummerSlam 2024 is going to be a blockbuster PLE
1. All major Championships are on the line
All the major Championships in WWE will be online at SummerSlam 2024. The Undisputed WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, Women's World Championship, WWE Women's Championship, United States Championship and Intercontinental Championship, will all be defended at SummerSlam 2024, which makes it a very premium event. Rarely does an event host such a plethora of Championship matches, the same night.
2. Massive twists and turns expected
SummerSlam has a history of bringing the roof down with un-envisioned surprises and shocking twists, for decades now.
This year too, the fans could expect some Earth shattering shocks and twists thrown in by WWE. Twists such as- Dominik Mysterio turning on ‘Mami’ Rhea Ripley in favor of Liv Morgan, Seth Rollins as guest referee between Drew Mcintyre and CM Punk, could turn the tables whenever he wishes to and in favour of any of the two men involved, as he hates both of them equally. Also, rumours have been floating around that another member could join the already threatening Bloodline 2.0 to pile on the misery for Cody Rhodes. Along with that, SummerSlam is always the best place for an ‘upset’ to take place. For example, Sami Zayn has been the Intercontinental Champion since WrestleMania and if he gets defeated by Bron Breakker, it would definitely be called a big upset given the experience and popularity of Sami in WWE.
3. Unforeseen Comebacks and Returns of Stalwarts
The return of The Undertaker, emerging through the casket, to seek revenge from Kane(2010), Roman Reigns returning from injury to decimate Bray Wyatt and Bron Strowman(2020), Triple H coming back from injury to a massive pop from the audience(2007). SummerSlam has famously entertained and enthralled the fans by emanating such comebacks and returns of big superstars over the years, and more of that is expected this year too. The overly awaited comeback of the original Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns is highly rumoured. He may be on his way back to WWE , to avenge the beat down of his Bloodline family members Paul Heyman and Jimmy Uso, who were taken out and eliminated from the Bloodline by Solo Sikoa and his new recruits. There were also rumours that the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar( infuriated by the insult and beatdown of Paul Heyman) may be coming back to fight the Bloodline 2.0. If any of these returns and comebacks do take place, it's going to be a party like no other for the fans in attendance and all across the world.
