JANI MASTER'S 'KATI RAAT' SONG SINGER PAWAN SINGH OPENS UP ABOUT HIS EXPERIENCE WORKING ON 'STREE 2'

'Stree 2', featuring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana, has stirred excitement at the box office with its impressive performance. The song "Kati raat maine kheton mein tu aayi nahin", performed by well-known Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh, has also become a sensation.

As reported in TV9, Pawan recently shared the story behind his song in 'Stree 2' during an interview. The singer described the opportunity as a stroke of luck. He recounted how his brother had advised him to avoid taking too many flights, emphasising the risks and losses associated with them. His brother also highlighted the plenty of work available locally, suggesting that it was better to focus on opportunities at home rather than traveling.

Singh initially hesitated to go to Mumbai despite receiving the offer to sing. He attributed his success to the charity of a colleague who had a studio locally. Although Pawan was unsure if he could handle such a high-range song but managed to record it in just half an hour with his mother’s blessings. The song was mixed overnight and released the next day. The launch event, held in Lucknow, saw a great response, with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao also in attendance.

The Bhojpuri singer mentioned that he hasn't seen 'Stree 2' yet but plans to watch it. He shared that people have told him about the reactions in the cinema whenever the song's opening line plays. Despite the song appearing only at the end of the film, its positive reception feels like a stroke of destiny for him.

Pawan sang "Kati Raat Mene Kheto Me Tu Aayi Nai" alongside Simran Chaudhary, Divya Kumar, and Sachin-Jigar who also composed the track, while the lyrics were penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The choreography for the song was done by Jani Master.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, 'Stree 2' was released on August 14.
