The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2024 dazzled Dubai with its star-studded extravaganza over the weekend, honouring the finest talents from the South Indian film industry. The two-day event celebrated the best of Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam cinema, recognising outstanding contributions across various categories.
On Saturday (September 14), the spotlight was on the Telugu and Kannada film industries, where awards were handed out to celebrate excellence in several categories. Meanwhile, the Tamil and Malayalam film industries took center stage on Sunday.
Director Nelson Dilipkumar’s action drama 'Jailer', starring superstar Rajinikanth, was awarded Best Film, while Chiyaan Vikram won Best Actor for his performance in 'Ponniyin Selvan 2'. Lady Superstar Nayanthara was crowned Best Actress for her role in 'Annapoorani'.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took home Best Actress (Critics) for her impeccable performance in 'Ponniyin Selvan 2', while Sivakarthikeyan won Best Actor (Critics) for his dynamic portrayal in 'Maaveeran'. Here is a look at the complete list of winners from all four languages:
